The Pantocrator

  • The Lord Jesus Christ's Icon is always spotted on the right of the iconstasis, depicted as a King on his throne. This matches the description in Psalm 45:6:

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;

A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom

  • The icon is named “The PANTOCRATOR” meaning “The Ruler of all” or “Almighty”

  • And in Revelation 19:16:

KING OF KINGS AND

LORD OF LORDS
