St. Mina was second in command in the army but left his position and went to the desert to worship God.

One day he heard a voice telling him to confess the Lord Christ to the Emperor and that he would receive a crown for virginity, asceticism and martyrdom.

After confessing his faith, he endured much torture until he was beheaded and received the crown of martyrdom.

The Christian believers put his body on a camel and followed it until the camel refused to move anymore. St. Mina was buried in that area.
