Also, our memory verse for the week is: 

“Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice” ~ 1 King 18:38

 

It’s important to relay to the children the message of this story, which is the following:  

•Elijah was the only prophet of God versus the 450 prophets of Baal and yet, because our God is so great and Elijah’s faith was so strong, God answered Elijah’s prayer and lit the sacrifice and showed the prophets of Baal His power.  

•God is powerful and He gives His people power. So, we too can be very powerful if we believe in God.
